Sawtry Santa Run
A dash of red and white was exactly what everyone needed on the morning of Sunday 6th of December 2020; the Sawtry Santa Run was the perfect way to raise everyone’s spirits and get them in the festive spirit after a month-long lockdown in November.

Despite sub-zero air temperature, icy paths and thick fog greeting the runners as they stepped outside their front door, dressed from head to toe as Father Christmas himself, the run went ahead as planned, and what a show it was!

It was an absolute joy to photograph the many Santa Clauses as they ran, jogged and walked their 10k route around the village; everyone was merry and just excited to be part of something else for the first time in a long while.

Since moving to Sawtry back in March we’ve only known many months of Lockdown, so sadly haven’t exactly had the introduction to the village culture or social life that we were hoping for, but events like this make me really excited about our future here; we’re both looking forward to seeing what Sawtry has to offer us in 2021, and what we can offer too!
